Round 16 of A.P.C. quilts explores a more technical approach in Jessica Ogden’s wish to focus on borders. Round 16 quilts were named as if they were pieces of classical music: Prelude in E or Fugue in C for instance. Jean Touitou explained how poetic he found this way of naming classical scores and how he wished for other types of music to use a similar approach. The photographs by Alfredo Piola were taken on top of Jamaica’s highest mountain; the Blue Montain Peak where Ogden and Piola climbed to create this imagery.
